With the release of its first electric scooter under its EV-only brand, Vida, Hero MotoCorp joined the EV market. The two variants of the recently released Vida V1 scooter are the Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro. These scooters will initially be sold in a few locations, including Delhi, Bangalore, and Jaipur. With each Vida V1 unit purchased, Hero MotoCorp promises to support the EV ecosystem. Prices of these scooters are on higher side right now, but since the V1 is based on a modular architecture, it is possible that when more data and customer input are gathered, future versions will be offered at cheaper prices. Prices for the Hero Vida V1 electric scooter start at Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero, however, has positioned the Vida V1 differently in the market up until this point.

Let’s examine the new Hero Vida V1 electric scooter in more detail and go over all the details you should be aware of, such as their cost, operating range, battery specifications, and more.

The Vida V1 Pro’s battery pack is larger than the V1 Plus’, allowing it to have a 22 km greater range than the V1 Plus. Although both scooters’ motors provide the same amount of power, the Pro model is 0.2 seconds faster. Additionally, the charger and charging connectors are the same for both scooters.

Other features in Vida V1:

Both the Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro are loaded with features. A 7 inch touchscreen instrument cluster with a plethora of information is featured on both scooters. Disc brakes, alloy wheels, cruise control, portable batteries, navigation, telematics, and other technologies are also included with both scooters.

One of the top features in the market is the Vida V1’s custom mode, which offers 100 combinations and allows the rider to customise the peak speed, acceleration, regen, and other parameters to suit preferences.

Availability and infrastructure support for Vida V1:

The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter will be introduced gradually. To prevent a protracted waiting period, this will be done. The Vida V1 is anticipated to receive a sizable number of bookings from Hero MotoCorp. The scooter will initially be sold in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur. Later, we’ll explore other cities and areas. The company’s factory in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, is where the scooter is made.

A vast network of quick charging stations will be available to support the Vida V1 electric scooter. There is also Vida Cloud, which can be used for a variety of things like scheduling a charging station, performing remote diagnostics, and performing on-site repairs. Hero MotoCorp also promises pick-and-drop service and on-site repair. Hero also provides tempting loan plans with interest rates that are 1.5–2% lower than those of the current market.

Buyback program:

Hero MotoCorp also unveiled a repurchase scheme for electric scooters at the Vida V1 launch. The first programme in this market, called Hero’s Buyback, guarantees 70% of the purchase price if the buyer decides to return the item to the business. Under this program, the scooter will be bought back by the business if returned within 16–18 months of the original owner’s possession.

3-day test drive offer on Vida V1:

Potential customers can test drive V1 electric scooters for up to three days. This should give you more clarity when making purchasing decisions as opposed to using the product for just a few minutes on a standard test drive.
