Rolls Royce Unveils Its First EV SPECTRE; Will Hit The Market By 2023

The world of technology is gaining momentum, Electric Vehicle segment is among the core segments that are changing rapidly. Now, Rolls Royce, the world’s largest luxury car maker, have also this race. The company recently took the wraps off the concept of electric aircraft and now, it has unveiled its first electric car SPECTRE. The company has also informed that this electric car will be launched in 2023.

About the Car

Rolls Royce announced the Specter electric car via tweet. Rolls Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Muller has given information about the upcoming electric car and the company’s plans to move towards technology through his Linkedin account.

The company has informed that the Rolls Royce SPECTRE electric car will cover a distance of 2.5 million kilometres during its testing.

The new Spectre electric car has been developed on the company’s own architecture, which is based on flexible aluminium architecture and will be used in all future Rolls Royce cars. Although specifications and design information of the Spectre has not been shared, its glimpse is visible in the pictures shared on Twitter. The images suggest that the design of the car will be similar to that of other Rolls-Royce cars.

When we will see it on road?

The Rolls Royce Spectre is expected to hit the market by the fourth quarter of 2023. With this, Rolls Royce has announced that by 2030 it will be a fully electric car company and will only make electric cars.

Rolls Royce’s electric aircraft

As earlier announced by RR, an electric aircraft is also being produced by the company. RR has completed the first successful phase of its all-electric aircraft. Rolls-Royce has named this aircraft Spirit of Innovation. This aircraft is a single-seat aircraft. The company says that it has the most powerful battery pack ever compared to any aircraft. The aircraft is powered by a 6000 cell battery pack and an electric motor capable of generating about 500 HP of power.The company claims that this aircraft can fly at a top speed of 300 miles per hour.

Rolls Royce has also partnered with a company named Tecnam to develop Air Taxi. Rolls-Royce and aircraft maker Tecnam are currently working with Scandinavia’s largest regional airline, Widerøe, to deliver an all-electric passenger aircraft for commercial aviation purposes, which is planned to be ready for service in 2026.
