A premium sports EV has entered the Indian electric car market to give competition. The name of this car is Taycan. The latest electric car from the German luxury automaker Porsche comes with a hefty cost of Rs 1.5 crore. The car is offered in two variants Taycan Sports Saloon and Cross Turismo estate. This electric car of the company offers a range of up to 484 km on a full charge.
Design
The design of this car is aesthetically appealing. Its sloping roofline, inverted L-shaped headlamps with a sculpted hood and a wide blacked-out air dam add to its look. Full width LED taillight has been given in the rear of the car. The car also gets a 3-stage spoiler system. Apart from this, you will also get to see a 3D logo of PORSCHE at the rear of the car. The company is also offering black B-pillar, dual-tone ORVMs, automatically extending door handles and designer wheels in the car.

Performance
This car comes with two electric motors. It has a battery pack of 79.2kWh or 93.4kWh.
Except for the entry-level Taycan which is rear-wheel drive (RWD) only, get all-wheel drive as standard. The RWD Taycan makes 408hp, while the Taycan 4S, with its dual-motor setup, develops up to 530hp with over-boost activated. The Turbo variant can go up to 680hp, while the apex Turbo S produces up to 761hp and has a range of 484 km. The Taycan Turbo S variant can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 2.8 seconds.
Interior
If we talk about the interior of the car, it gets a very luxury 4-seater cabin. The seats in the car come with a massage function. The car is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, the company is offering a 3-spoke multifunctional steering wheel in this car. The special thing is that you will also get 4-zone automatic climate control in this car.
The car’s dashboard has an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Apart from this, you will also get to see a 16.8-inch digital instrument console here.
Safety
For safety, the car has multiple airbags and an automatic emergency braking system.

Along with the new luxury electric car, the company has also launched the facelift Macan. The starting price of this car is Rs 83.21 lakh (ex-showroom). This car comes in four variants. The base variant of the car Macan is equipped with a 2.0-litre engine. This turbocharged engine generates a power of 261bhp along with a peak torque of 400Nm.
At the same time, the company is offering a 2.9-litre V6 engine in Macan S and Macan GTS. The Macan S generates power of 375bhp with 520Nm of torque and the GTS variant of the car offers a power output of 434bhp with 550Nm of torque. All three variants of the car come with the company’s 7-speed PDK DCT unit.
Other features
The company has updated the Macan’s front and rear bumpers and added new wheel designs. The interior sports a reworked centre console, steering wheel, and shift lever. The interior of the Macan is a combination of a compact SUV and a sports car. The higher seating position in the front sports seats fit you in the sports car cockpit while giving you greater visibility, and greater control.
The Sound Package Plus, equipped with 10 speakers with 150-watt output, provides the excellent sound as a standard system in the Macan models.
