by Shatakshi Gupta

Whenever we hear of Rolls Royce, it reminds us of luxury and wealth. A few months back, the famous company launched the world’s most expensive car. The name of this car is Boat Tail and its price is 20 million pounds or around 200 crores. This car has been manufactured by Rolls Royce after four years of hard work.

The Rolls Royce Boat Tail is a four-seater luxury car and it is 19 feet long. This is the first Rolls-Royce car to be built under the luxury carmaker’s new coach building program. This car is inspired by the sweptail car of Rolls Royce. Taking the name Boat Tail after the models from the 1920s, this luxury symbol impersonates the J-Class yacht’s hull. Before the boat tail, the sweptail was the most expensive car of Rolls Royce.

Sweptail was sold by Rolls Royce in the year 2017 for around Rs 130 crore. Only one model of this car was launched. This luxury car was built after the request of a well-known European man.  However, according to reports, three models of boat tail car will be launched.

What is so special about this car?

The rear part of this car resembles that of a luxury speedboat. Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller says that this car has been prepared with all the facilities for any great excursion or picnic and you will not find a better package in any car than this.

Besides, the car also gets a 15-speaker surround sound system. The system has been modified in such a way that the platform of the car can be used as a sound box. For this car, Switzerland’s prestigious watch maker Bowie 1822 has prepared a special watch.

The car uses the same engine that has been used earlier in luxury cars like Rolls Royce Cullinan, Phantom and Black Badge.

The back deck of car is hinged in the centre and opens up at an ideal serving angle of 15 degrees and features two refrigerators along with Armand de Brignac champagne and custom-made luxury cutlery and crockery set. The car also includes two carbon fibre stools made by Italian firm Promemoria. A unique parasol is also included beneath the deck to enjoy the fine weather with a telescopic canopy provided for an open-air experience.
